🚓 Where should I park?

• Morning Classes: Follow the sign showing CNA Student Parking.
• Evening & Weekend Classes: Park anywhere except specially marked spots (unless you have credentials for handicapped parking).

What should I have done BEFORE the first day?

Please ensure the following documents are submitted:

• Driver’s License
• Social Security Card
• Official or Unofficial Transcripts
• TB Test completed within the last year

How should I dress?

• Dress comfortably for sitting in the classroom and practicing in the lab.
• Scrub sizes will be taken on the first day, and scrubs will be ordered for you.
• Scrubs are only required for Clinicals and typically arrive a week before they begin.

What should I bring?

• Bring something to write with.
• You will receive a highlighter which is yours to keep.

Do I need a textbook?

• You will be given a textbook to keep. Feel free to take notes and highlight important information in it.

Can I bring food?

• We encourage eating before class. However, if needed
  • Snacks are available for purchase ($1 each).
  • If you bring your own food, please clean up after yourself.

Will there be breaks?

• Weekend classes include a lunch break.
• All other classes have short breaks for restroom use and stretching.
• You may leave the classroom at any time, as long as it’s not disruptive.

Do I need a laptop?

• No laptop is necessary — everything will be completed on paper.

What are the attendance rules?

• Attendance is regulated by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHSS). You may only miss up to 6 hours in total.
